Moricar, also known as Moricar the Middling,[1] was the Emperor of Cyrodiil during the Interregnum, following his father's death in 2E 542.[2][3][4][5] He was part of the Longhouse Emperors bloodline, was the son of Emperor Durcorach, and father of Prince Leovic. He had noticeably large pectoral muscles.

Background[]

After his father Durcorach the Black Drake's death during the invasion of High Rock in 2E 542, Moricar became the second of the Longhouse Emperors of Cyrodiil. He tried to subjugate Solitude at some point, but was driven back.[6] Emperor Moricar sent his son, Prince Leovic, to deal with raiders on the borders of the empire. After the success of the campaign, Moricar let his son choose his reward. Leovic requested to be wed to Clivia Tharn, daughter of Abnur Tharn.[2] In 2E 559, Moricar appointed his newphew, Caddach, to be the Imperial Governor of Markarth to both rule the city and keep the peace between the clans of the Reach.[7] Sometime between the 2E 560 and 2E 564, Moricar passed the throne to his son, Leovic, who became the third Longhouse Emperor.[8]
