Background

After the ritual at Rawl'kha, I traveled to meet the Lunar Champions at the temple called Moonmont. Here I'm told the Dark Mane has holed up. After what it did to Mane Akkhuz-ri, we must destroy it.

Walkthrough

Upon completing "The Path to Moonmont," Shazah will tell you that the Dark Mane has taken up residence in the temple, killed most of the priests, and darkened the beacons that mark the holy site. She will ask for your help in restoring the beacons so that you all can enter the temple proper and fight the Dark Mane. She will give you a piece of paper with a prayer on it, which you should recite to cleanse the beacons.

There are four beacons in total, to the northwest, southwest, northeast, and southeast of the holy site. They are hard to miss; giant pillars with darkness swirling around them. Fight your way through the Dro-m'Athra and purify each of the beacons. At the southeastern one, you will meet Shazah, who will tell you that the dark energies here are especially powerful and that she has to do the purifying here while you fend off the Dro-m'Athra. After all of the beacons have been purified, head to the temple itself and talk to Khali there. When you are done talking, Shazah will dispel the ward on the door, and you can get inside.

Proceed through the temple and fight through the Dro-m'Athra until you reach the middle room. There, you will run into the spirit of Rid-Thar-ri'Datta; speak with him and he will tell you that the altars in this room need to be realigned with the lunar phases in order to open the door ahead. You can discern which altar should be aligned with which phase by looking at the wall plaques. The altar on the right should be the waxing moons (left-facing crescent), the middle one should be the full moons and the left one should be the waning moons (right-facing crescent). Once the altars are realigned, Shazah will dispel the barrier and you all can proceed. While you are looking for the Dark Mane in the next room, he will capture Shazah and Khali; you will have to face him by yourself. He will summon a spectral Senche to aid him in the battle.

Defeat the Dark Mane to free Shazah and Khali. He will try to flee but will be captured by Rid-Thar-ri'Datta. Speak with the first Mane and he will tell you that it is now time to choose which of the champions will become the next Mane. The other will stay here in Moonmont to guard the Dark Mane. Speak with bot of them; they will try to convince you that it should be them, not their sister, who stays here and guards the Dark Mane. Whichever one you choose to stay, speak with the other one to finish the quest.
