The Order of the Mythic Dawn was a cult that served the Daedric Prince Mehrunes Dagon, and is the same cult directly responsible for the Oblivion Crisis and the near extermination of the Septim Dynasty.
Background[]
Skyrim[]
The Mythic Dawn, having been wiped out during the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, only consists of Silus Vesuius as the last remaining member. While he is not an official member, he claims to be a descendant of members of the Mythic Dawn. Silus claims that his forefather was the one chosen to kill Emperor Uriel Septim VII during the Oblivion Crisis. He considers that assassination the greatest accomplishment of the Mythic Dawn.
Silus, being proud of his heritage and a Mythic Dawn fanatic, has recently opened a Mythic Dawn Museum inside his home in Dawnstar. Inside the museum, two Mythic Dawn Robes (one is hooded, and the other is not), one pair of Mythic Dawn Gloves and one pair of Mythic Dawn Boots, and all four tomes of Mythic Dawn Commentaries are found. Silus will show and describe everything to the Dragonborn. His goal is retrieving the remains of Mehrunes' Razor. As the Dragonborn progresses to the near end of the quest given by Silus Vesuius, "Pieces of the Past," Mehrunes Dagon's treacherous ambition to wipe out the last remnant of the Mythic Dawn is discovered; considering the cult's influence in the course of Tamriel's history, and using the Dragonborn as the pawn or "champion."
Quests[]
- "Pieces of the Past" is a quest that can be started at the newly made Mythic Dawn museum in Dawnstar, after the Dragonborn receives an invitation from a courier. The courier is triggered once the Dragonborn reaches level 20. Pieces of the Past leads the Dragonborn to the recreation of Mehrunes' Razor from Mehrunes Dagon at his shrine.

Trivia[]
- After the Dragonborn reaches level 20 and arrives at the Mythic Dawn Museum, Court Wizard Madena can be seen arguing with Silus Vesuius about the opening of the museum, concluding that the support of the Mythic Dawn is frowned upon. If talked to, she will ask the Dragonborn not to go there.
- Slashing the page of the Mysterium Xarxes makes it turn into a random miscellaneous item, usually a bucket.
