Netch Jelly is an ingredient in The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn. It can be used to make potions at an alchemy lab, or it can be used to make pieces of Improved Bonemold Armor at a forge, making it one of only seven alchemical ingredients with a use in Smithing.

Trivia[]

  • Netch Jelly is one of only two ingredients with Paralysis as a first effect, the other being Corkbulb Root.  Creation Club   This means that when it is consumed, the Dragonborn will be briefly paralyzed, and fall to the ground as soon as they leave the menu. This can be done without alchemy perks, unlike other ingredients with the effect.
  • This is also the only ingredient with Restore Stamina not as a primary effect.
  • It may be wise to keep Netch Jelly on hand in case of falls, as the paralysis caused on consumption will cancel the fall damage. This should be done as close to hitting the ground as possible.

Bugs[]

This section contains bugs related to Netch Jelly. Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:

  1. Please reload an old save to confirm if the bug is still happening.
  2. If the bug is still occurring, please post the bug report with the appropriate system template  360  /  XB1  ,  PS3  /  PS4  ,  PC  /  MAC  ,  NX  /  PS5  ,  XS  , depending on which platform(s) the bug has been encountered on.
  3. Be descriptive when listing the bug and fixes, but avoid having conversations in the description and/or using first-person anecdotes: such discussions belong on the appropriate forum board.
  •  PS3   Consuming Netch Jelly on a horse while either doing the save and load glitch, the horse glitch, or just falling while riding a horse will cause many different bugs to occur: one of such bugs is being frozen in the air standing and not able to do anything; falling straight down and then hitting the ground, getting up, dying, and the last one is being able to walk on air.
  •  360   Consuming Netch Jelly while swimming, and then going back to land may result in the Dragonborn swimming on land. The effect can, however, only be seen in third person.
    •  360 (Fix)   This can be resolved by consuming Netch Jelly a second time once the Dragonborn is back on land.
  •  360   Consuming Netch Jelly while sheathing a weapon may leave the Dragonborn in the perspective of being paralyzed, although most actions are unaffected.
