Nord Hero Weapons

Nord Hero Weapons are weapons that can be smithed after completing The Companions questline by using the Skyforge.

These weapons are smithed by combining Ancient Nord Weapons, steel ingots and leather strips. They are basically Ancient Nord Weapons when they were still new and common. They all do the same damage as their Skyforge Steelcounterparts, but have different weights and monetary values. All can be improved with steel ingots except the Nord Hero Bow.

Trivia

• The Honed variant of the Ancient Nord Swords cannot be upgraded to the Nord Hero Sword.
• The Nord Hero Bow cannot be upgraded; however, all the other weapons can. This is because the Bows temper recipe is assigned to the Nord Hero Battleaxe.
  •  PC  To fix this, open the Creation Kit, enter "TemperWeaponSkyforgeBow" in the filter, and select ALL in the tree menu. Then open up the TemperWeaponSkyforgeBow and select the NordHeroBow in the Created Object column. Afterwards, save the esp file and select it in the startup menu before starting the game.
• Skyforge Steel weapons are heavier and have equal base damage.
• If the Dragonborn has completed the Questline and still cannot make Nord Hero Weaponry, simply talk to Eorlund Gray-Mane and he will say how the forge feels more awake since Kodlak's funeral. Reply "Quite the forge you have here". Then when using the forge, Nord Hero Weapons will now be available. If Eorlund is dead, there is no, (console), fix.

Bugs

•  PC   360   PS3   There is a bug in which enchanting Nord Hero Weapons erases existing improvements.
