Nords are a playable race in The Elder Scrolls Online. The Nords of Skyrim are members of the Ebonheart Pact, along with the Dunmer and Argonians, though they are not bound to the alliance if the game is pre-ordered.

Strong and hardy, the Nords of Skyrim are humans who are as quick to laugh as they are to fight. Most Nords prefer simplicity to sophistication, and an axe or an arrow over a spell. They are the brash, boisterous front line of the Pact; fierce warriors and expert weapon masters.

Personality and characteristics

Here is the stereotype of a Nord: drunken, xenophobic, and usually as thick as the great tree in Elden Root. Although much of this stereotype for the common Nord can appear to be quite true, there are many exceptions when it comes down to the strong, hard willed warriors or the intelligence of great mages like Shalidor. Fearless and loyal, they make the most vigorous of combatants and are loyal to only Ebonheart, with extremely rare exceptions. One thing is for sure, these Nordic brutes are extremely stubborn and are almost scared of change, but are still a force to be reckoned with.

Official description

The Nords once conquered most of Tamriel, and as a result, feel a certain entitlement to rule. They broke the power of the Ayleids, nearly drove the High Elves out of High Rock, and conquered much of Resdayn, the precursor to Morrowind. The Nords are excellent with arms. They are quick to anger, boisterous, and strong. They are natural-born warriors who fight with an ecstatic ferocity that terrifies their enemies.

Passive racial abilities

	Reveler – Increases experience with the Two-Handed Weapon skill line by 15%. Increases the duration of any consumed drink by 15 minutes.
	Resist Frost – Increases Max Health by __% and Cold resistance by __. Gain immunity to the Chilled status effect. Rank 1: 333 , 660 (unlocked at Nord level 5) Rank 2: 666, 1320 (unlocked at Resist Frost Rank I, Nord level 15) Rank 3: 1000, 2310 (unlocked at Resist Frost Rank II, Nord level 30)
