Background[]
With my help, Sun-in-Shadow achieved the rank of retainer in the Great House Telvanni. If she is to help free Eoki, she will need to climb the ranks even further. Unfortunately, becoming an oathman may present a greater challenge than she expects.

Walkthrough[]
Upon completing "Rising to Retainer," Eoki will express his worries about Sun-in-Shadow, as he thinks she is too focused on rising through the ranks and does not get enough rest. He will tell you to seek her our in her home, as she may have another task for you.
Head to Sun-in-Shadow's home and speak with her there. She will tell you that she has received a summons to go to the council house, but she fears that it is a trap from one of her rivals. She will ask you to go in her stead. Head to the council house and go before the council on the top floor. There, the Mouths will inform you that they have rejected her application for oathman, and will reject any further applications. Speak with Angharal Suth on the matter and she will confirm that Sun-in-Shadow has been rejected due to blatant racism of Magister Gothren's Mouth Ralasa Delvi. She will ask you to make sure Sun-in-Shadow plans her next move cautiously.
Head back to Sun-in-Shadow and deliver the news. She will be downstairs. Upon hearing it, she will ask you to act as her emissary once more and head to Tel Aruhn to ask Magister Gothren why he has a vendetta against her. Tel Aruhn is on an island west of Sadrith Mora.
When you arrive at the mushroom tower, speak with Midiri Berathi at the entrance. You can bribe of persuade her to let you enter; if you do neither, [?]. Once you are inside, head up to Gothren's audience chamber; he will tell you to talk to his assistant Arith Sendrul. He will confirm that Ralasa Delvi has a thing against the beast races, and will ask for your help in getting him appointed as Gothren's mouth instead. He will ask you to retrieve some stolen items from Shashpilamat and give him credit for retrieving them.
Head to Shashpilamat in southeasterm Vvardenfell, southwest of Holamayan Monastery and southeast of the Matus-Akin Egg Mine. There, you will find a group of runaway slaves. Speak with Zashanti; she will tell you where the stolen goods are if you agree not to rat her out to Gothren. However, you will then find out that you were followed; Captain Giravel will arrive with a number of soldiers to take the slaves back. One of the slaves will resist and will be killed. Speak with Giravel and he will tell you he was sent by Ralasa Delvi; she has outmaneuvered you and will thus be keeping her position as Gothren's mouth.
Take this bad news to Sun-in-Shadow in Sadrith Mora. She will tell you it is time to resort to more unconventional methods. Specifically, she wants you to assassinate Ralasa. You can choose to either accept or decline this mission. If you choose to decline, [?]. If you accept, head into the Council House and then take a door to your right to the Council Hall. Proceed into the Mouth Audience Chamber; you will find Ralasa there. She will be hostile.
Once Ralasa lies dead, head back to Sun-in-Shadow, who is standing outside the Council House. Speak with her to finish the quest and start the next one, "The Magister Makes a Move."
