Orcrest is a city located in the northern half of Elsweyr, which is known as Anequina. Orcrest is known for being the home of the legendary khajiit tapestry, Cherim.[1]

Second Era[]

During the Knahaten Flu outbreak, Orcrest was severely affected by the disease, along with the rest of Elsweyr.[2] A medical team led by Ubraz and Edhelruin was sent to the city in 2E 565 to help prevent it, but they too succumbed to the disease.[3][4] Sometime afterwards, the Colovians considered Anequina too weak to defend itself after being decimated by the Knahaten flu. They sent the West Weald Legion, led by General Quintilius, to annex it. A militia was sent out to try and defend the city, but they were either killed by the invading forces or fled the city.[3][5]

Kurog gro-Bagrakh had ventured all over Tamriel in his youth. During his trip in Elsweyr, Kurog met Zephrine Frey who go on a document Kurog's journey around the world. Kurog began working with a Breton mercenary named Gaspard Esmery and his group of bandits known as Gaspard's Stalkers. When Kurog and Frey rendezvous in a tavern in Orcrest, Frey learned of Kurog's dreams and ambitions for a united Orcish kingdom.[6]

Third Era[]

During the Imperial Simulacrum, the Eternal Champion had at one point visited the city in their quest for a piece of the Staff of Chaos.

One of the most well-respected tapestries in all of Tamriel is the Khajiiti, Cherim. Cherim had four large factories throughout the Elsweyr Confederacy. At his villa in Orcrest, Cherim created one of his greatest masterpiece known as the Heart of Anequina.[1]

After the Battle of Zelinin of the Five Year War, the battle Heart of Anequina begun. This battle was explicitly depicted on the tapestry with hundreds of Bosmer with fear from the Khajiiti Army now donned with Medium Armor. Cherim knew what to depict on the Tapestry because he was a foot soldier at the battle. This battle was a turning point in the war resulting in victory over Elsweyr.[1]

  • When Arena was going to be a tournament-based game, Orcrest's team was known as the Silent Ones.[UL 1]
