Walkthrough[]
When approaching Bloodtoil Valley, you will be approached by a man named Mathrogor. He will tell you that his clan fear an attack from the Drublog Clan after his daughter Dalaneth was found with the son of the Drublog chief. He will ask you to go speak with his daughter to see if she will tell you anything.
Dalaneth is in a hut in the north of the area, just south of the Supplication House. Speak with her and she will tell you that she and her love, Ulagash, were found by Shaman Yarnag as they were embracing by the lake a few days ago. Since then, all attempts at dialogue have ended in violence. Dalaneth will ask you to help ensure Ulagash's safety; he is at the Shrine to Mauloch just south of the map marker. When you arrive at the shrine, you will find that Yarnag has killed Ulagash after torturing him.
Take this news to Mathragor, who will be hiding behind a wall just north of the shrine. He will tell you that while you were gone, the Orimser attacked the village. He could not find his daughter before he was forced to flee; he will ask you to look for his fellow villagers who fled into the forest and ask them if they know where Dalaneth is. The villagers are spread out throughout the area. Huurel will be in the east of the area, just north of the river. Gothrongor will be to the west, just east of the road. Finally, Falphirion is hiding behind the hut where you first met Dalaneth. None of them have seen Dalaneth; once you have spoken to all of them, head back to Mathragor. He will speculate that the Drublog have taken his daughter, and will ask you to kill their chief in vengeance. Chief Ulukhaz will be in her longhouse above the shrine to Mauloch, with Dalaneth lying on the ground in front of her. Kill the chief, then talk to Dalaneth. She will tell you that Yarnag had used a ritual involving Ulagash's blood to corrupt the chief, and will ask you to ask her father to stop the bloodshed.
Meet up with Mathragor in the Shrine to Z'en in the northeast of the area, and relay Dalaneth's message. He will not agree to stop the bloodshed; he thinks the only way to achieve peace is to wipe out the Drublog. As such, he will pray to Z'en for a curse. At this point an Emissary of Z'en will appear. Speak to the emissary and she will tell you to stop Mathrogor from enacting his curse, for it is not justice he seeks, but vengeance. You should now speak to Mathrogor; you can persuade him out of his quest for vengeance to finish the quest. If you do not persuade him, [?].
