"<A skeleton hangs here, picked clean by birds. Based on the condition of the rope this individual seems to have died fairly recently. The only object of note on the deceased is a curiously glowing amulet.>"
- <Take the amulet.>
The Vestige will stumble upon a hanging skeleton wearing a strange amulet around its neck. Upon further investigation of the area, the Vestige will find a journal likely belonging to the skeleton. In it is described how the writer decided to leave his hometown and venture off. One day, he finds an amulet on a dead body and decides to take it. Afterwards, he has troubles sleeping and hears strange voices in his head. In the end, he decides to end his life as he can't take it anymore. He mentions that he witnessed a man ending his own life near Goldfolly. The Vestige should proceed to Goldfolly Cemetery in hopes of finding out more.
""Lesahanar, Beloved of Azabesh." "His laugh filled the forest. Gone, but never forgotten.""
The Vestige finds the gravestone of one "Lesahanar, Beloved of Azabesh". The Vestige is shorly met with Azabesh. She reveals that her husband was a guard of a merchant caravan and he found an amulet on a dead body laying of the road. She mentions the amulet has been made in Cormount and the Vestige should look for a jeweler there.
After speaking to some merchants in Cormount, they remember only one, Rondrin, but supposedly, he's been retired for a while now. Rondrin reveals that he did create the amulet, but only as a revenge against an Argonian who killed his son. After learning that the amulet was not found on an Argonian, the Vestige can persuade Rondrin to destroy the amulet or let him wear it and die.
