For other uses, see Pickpocketing.

Pickpocketing is a skill in The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. It is automatically checked whenever one attempts to steal an item off a person or shelf without being detected. Its governing attribute is Agility.

Pickpocketing is a primary skill for Bards and Thieves, a major skill for Rogues, and a minor skill for Burglars, Assassins, and Acrobats. The Thieves Guild and Resolution of Z'en offer training and is a required skill for each faction.

TriviaEdit

  • Unlike in later installments, items pickpocketed from targets in Daggerfall do not necessarily correlate to what is actually in their inventory.
  • Pickpocket failures will occasionally yield joke items, like bat guano or a letter from the target's mother.
