Pierric was the Breton lord of Cumberland and the father of High King Emeric.[1]
Background
In Pierric's hall of business in Wayrest, Emeric learned of the tracking of shipments, the balancing of accounts, and the fluctuation of currencies. Discontent with his son only learning the ways of peace and trade, for two months every summer he had Emeric spar with the Cumberland Master of Arms each morning. Unlike his son, Pierric was not a member of the royal family of Wayrest, as Emeric was persuaded to assume the throne after the entire royal family was killed by the Knahaten Flu, which also took Pierric himself.[1]
