Plants, also called flora, can be found scattered throughout the natural land of Tamriel. They can be harvested for ingredients to make potions through the use of Alchemy. In Oblivion, plants such as Steel-Blue Entoloma, Stinkhorn or flax can be harvested and their yield can be very useful to wizards because they can create Restore Magicka potions. Aloe Vera or Cairn Bolete plants with boar meat can be harvested to create Restore Health potions, useful to everyone near harm.
Morrowind[]
In The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, most plants are inside of containers. Thus, they are not able to be harvested by one-click. However, some plants may occasionally be harvested for more than one ingredient.
Oblivion[]
In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, harvesting plants is simpler than in Morrowind, as the Hero of Kvatch is much more likely to succeed while harvesting.
Skyrim[]
In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, most harvested plants are rendered as deflowered flowers. Thus, one can classify plants according to whether they have been harvested or respawned at first glance. Some yield of plants in Skyrim are categorized as food instead of ingredients of Alchemy. Some of these food items are able to cooked.
