- In some cases, the one can still force themselves under the surface of the water if there is a sloping ceiling above the surface that leads down into the water, which happens in a few caves. Normally however, this is a rare occurrence.
- If one falls from a high enough place and lands on water, activating this spell effect during the fall will cause fall damage. Moreover, after landing on the water, activating this spell effect will still cause delayed fall damage.
- Casting a spell or drinking a potion with this effect while under water causes the message "You cannot cast this effect at the moment" to appear.
