Pursuing the Shard is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online.
Background[]
King Emeric believes Count Hosni has the Dream Shard stolen from Pariah Abbey. He wants me to ingratiate myself with the Count in hopes of retrieving the shard.

Walkthrough[]
Upon completing A Prison of Sleep, Abbot Durak will tell you to head to Wayrest and inform High King Emeric that the Dreamshard has been stolen.
Head to Wayrest and enter the castle. Emeric will be found in the throne room, standing in front of the throne. When you inform him about what happened at the Pariah Abbey, he will inform you that the Midnight Union rarely does anything without the approval of Count Hosni at-Tura. The Count is currently holding a betrothal celebration; Emeric has an invitation he didn't intend to use, which he will give to you so that you can speak to the Count.
Mercenary: "Count Hosni is in residence, but no one gets into the party without an invitation."
- I have an invitation. "Let me see. Ah, this is a platinum-level invite. The count says you get to come and go as you please. That's more leeway than he usually gives his guests these days."
- What do you mean by that? "I don't mean anything by it. It's just, the count is different since he met that woman. But I don't ask questions. I suggest you don't either."
- Where can I find Count Hosni? "He's in the manor with his betrothed, Lady Adima. Tonight's festivities have already resulted in four deaths. Better hurry."
The Count's estate is far to the west, in southwestern Stormhaven. Once you get there, hand your invitation to one of the gate guards and he'll let you in. The count will be in the southern structure; speak with him to finish the quest and start the next one, The Signet Ring.
