Locations[]

  • Two can be found in Swindler's Den, on a small wooden box in the fourth large room.
  • There are also several pieces of malachite ore in a pool of water in the Labyrinthian. However, some may be unable to be taken. To get the malachite ores that the player character cannot reach in the water in Labyrinthian, simply toggle sneak and use a melee weapon to hit them into the shallower parts of the water or out of it, then simply pick them up.

Smelting[]

Two Malachite Ore can be smelted into one refined malachite at a smelter. Along with smelting, they can be bought from general goods merchants and blacksmiths. Furthermore, they can be found on enemies as loot. They can also be found outside certain malachite mines.

Trivia[]

  • Malachite in real life is a type of copper ore of green color that can be smelted at high temperatures to yield copper. It comes in both opaque and transparent forms, depending on what shape it grows from. The transparent version is visually similar to glass, which is likely where the armors and weapons forged by this material get its name from.
  • As mentioned in the book Light Armor Forging, this "glass" bears no relation to the glass of windows and ornaments.
