Regions, also known as Zones, are large portions of Tamriel that are available to players of The Elder Scrolls Online. Regions are divided into three smaller regions called Subregions, each with their own Dark Anchors.

The following are any zones planned to be added to the game, compiled from data files and in-game maps. Only few of them have been given official announcements:

  • Murkmire (Black Marsh)
  • Thornmarsh/Southern Marsh (Morrowind/Black Marsh)
  • Sunforge (Hammerfell)
  • Colovia (Cyrodiil)
  • Khefrem (Hammerfell)
  • The Weeping Desert (Hammerfell)
  • Nibenay Basin/Nibenay Valley (Cyrodiil)
  • Blackwood (Cyrodiil)
  • Anequina (Elsweyr)
  • Tenmar (Elsweyr)
  • Quin-rawl (Elsweyr)
  • The Reach/Haafingar (Skyrim)
  • Solstheim (Morrowind/Skyrim)
  • Whiterun Hold (Skyrim)
  • Hjaalmarch (Skyrim)
  • Winterhold/The Pale (Skyrim)


  • Most of the Subregions in the Daggerfall Covenant originated or derive from the many regions in the Iliac Bay in The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. Same goes with Glenumbra, Alik'r Desert, and Wrothgar which originate in Daggerfall.
