Renault's Akaviri Katana is a unique weapon wielded by Captain Renault, a member of the Blades present during the "Tutorial" of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It is the first weapon obtainable by the Hero of Kvatch without the use of console commands.
Acquisition
During the first encounter against Mythic Dawn Agents in the Imperial Prison Sewer, Renault is slain. She drops her Akaviri Katana, which the Hero can pick up and wield. Baurus removes the katana from the inventory of the Hero immediately after class creation.
Reward
When the Hero arrives at Cloud Ruler Temple with the Emperor's only heir, he rewards them with +1 to Blade, Block, and Heavy Armor for recovering her blade. After, the katana is given a place of honor in the Temple. It can be found on a display as a mantlepiece.
Bugs
- PS3 Sometimes Baurus will not take Renault's Akaviri Katana back.
