Revealing Flare is an Alliance War ability in the Support skill line in The Elder Scrolls Online. It becomes available at Support Rank VII.
Morphs
Lingering Flare
- Launch a blinding flare, revealing stealthed and invisible enemies in the target area for 5 seconds.
- Exposed enemies have their Movement Speed reduced by 50% and cannot return to stealth or invisibility for 3 seconds.
- The flare lingers at the target area, revealing enemies that enter it.
- Update 6: The area of effect will persist for 4 seconds after the ability is cast.[1]
Scorching Flare
- Launch a blinding flare, revealing stealthed and invisible enemies in the target area for 5 seconds.
- Exposed enemies have their Movement Speed reduced by 50% and take [x] Flame Damage over 3 seconds, and cannot return to stealth or invisibility for 3 seconds.
- Exposed enemies take damage over time.
- Update 6: Using this ability will place a damage over time on any revealed enemies. [1]
- Update 7: Increased the damage of this ability by 125%. [2]
Updates
- Update 6: Fixed an issue where the extra Magicka recovery granted by this passive ability (Magicka Aid) was not working properly with Guard and Revealing Flare. [1]
- Update 6: This new ability will cast a projectile to travel to a specified location, which will reveal all enemies within 10 meters. [1]
- Update 7: Increased the travel speed of this ability's projectile, and reduced the cost of the ability by approximately 15%.[2]
- U9: Revealing an enemy from stealth or invisibility with abilities such as Revealing Flare or Magelight now prevents that enemy from casting stealth or invisibility for the duration, rather than letting them re-enter stealth or invisibility but still be visible. [3]
