Ring of Sanguine Sublime Wisdom is a quest in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. The Nerevarine must recover the ring from the shrine of Yasammidan, northwest of Gnisis.
Background
Objectives
- Talk to Eno Hlaalu at the Morag Tong headquarters in the Hidden Area of the Vivec Arena for special duties
- Travel to Yasammidan to wrest the Ring of Sanguine Sublime Wisdom from its current owner, Anel Rethelas
- Find Anel in the shrine and kill him or rob him
- Return to Eno to complete the quest
Walkthrough
After completing the quest "Ultimatum for Carecalmo," if the Nerevarine asks Eno Hlaalu for special duties, he will ask them to retrieve the Ring of Sanguine Sublime Wisdom from its current owner, Anel Rethelas. Rethelas is currently residing in the Daedric ruin of Yasammidan.
Head to Yasammidan, to the west of Ald Velothi. As can be expected with Daedric ruins, the Nerevarine will encounter Daedra, so it essential to bring weapons that can hurt them. Some Daedra cannot be harmed by lower level (such as iron and steel) and unenchanted weapons. Inside the shrine, Rethelas is the first character the Nerevarine will encounter. Although hostile, he likely will not present much of a challenge compared to other enemies. After retrieving the ring from him, it is possible to return to Eno Hlaalu in Vivec, but if the Nerevarine proceeds further into the ruins, they will encounter Mindeli Saren, a hostile Dunmer, who carries the Belt of Sanguine Stolid Armor, another Thread of the Webspinner.
When the Nerevarine is done in Yasammidan, they should return to Eno Hlaalu to hand in the recovered Threads. Other than improved reputation with the Morag Tong and disposition towards the Nerevarine from Eno Hlaalu, there is no reward from this quest.
