Ring of the Beast is a ring found in The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard, during the quest "Rings of Blood Magic." It is only available if the Dragonborn chooses to become a Vampire Lord at the conclusion of Bloodline.
Enchantment[]
Wearing this ring grants an additional 100 points of health and increases the damage of Vampire Lord claw attacks by 20 damage. In addition, all unarmed damage (whether in Vampire Lord form or not) is increased by 20 points.
- Fortify Health: 100 points
- Fortify Unarmed: 20 points
Usefulness[]
This ring is ideal for the warrior playstyle due to the increase in health. It is also ideal for an unarmed combatant due to the bug that allows 20 extra unarmed damage while not in Vampire Lord form.
This extra damage stacks with the Khajiit racial bonus of 12 damage[note 1] claw attacks, as well as the Gloves of the Pugilist for 10 unarmed damage, allowing for an additional 42 damage.

Bugs[]
This section contains bugs related to Ring of the Beast. Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:
|
- If a previously slain Dragon Priest is chosen as a bearer of the ring, it will be impossible to acquire as the corpse will not be at the location.
- If Sigdis Gauldurson in Geirmund's Hall is chosen as a bearer of the ring, it will be impossible to acquire as the corpse will not be at the location.
- Under the Active Effects list, if you are wearing the Ring of the Beast, it will state under the effect of "Claws" and "Khajiit claws do four times that damage of a man's punch." whether your character is a Khajiit or not.
- If the ring is in Forsaken Cave, it may not be obtainable, the marker will be floating just over the ground near the word wall.
- If the ring is at the Rift Watchtower, it may not be obtainable, the marker will be floating outside the rook's walkway.

- ↑ Although the game describes the ability as, "Khajiit claws do 15 points of damage," they only actually do 12 points of damage.
