Elder Scrolls

Seeking Disclosure is a quest in The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard. This quest is started upon completion of Prophet for either the Dawnguard or Harkon. It runs concurrently with "Chasing Echoes," "Beyond Death" and "Discerning the Transmundane," but can only be completed once they are complete.

Background[]

In order to locate Auriel's Bow, the Moth Priest, Dexion, indicated that two other Elder Scrolls would be required. The first scroll foretells the interactions of the dragons with the history of Nirn. The second foreshadows the defiance of the gods with the blood of mortals.

Objectives[]

Walkthrough[]

Elder Scroll (Dragon)[]

If the quests "Elder Knowledge" or "Discerning the Transmundane" have been completed during the main questline of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, then the Elder Scroll (Dragon) will already be in the inventory. If it was sold to Urag gro-Shub at the College of Winterhold, then the quest "Scroll Scouting" will initiate to get it back.

Elder Scroll (Blood)[]

In order to obtain the Elder Scroll (Blood) the Dragonborn must speak with Serana's mother, Valerica, in the Soul Cairn. This requires "Chasing Echoes" and "Beyond Death" to be completed.

Return[]

After both Elder Scrolls have been recovered, the Dragonborn must bring them to Dexion Evicus to read. However, it is revealed that Dexion has gone blind from reading the last Elder Scroll without the proper preparation.

He mentions, however, that there is another way to read the scrolls. Scattered across Tamriel are secluded locations known only as Ancestor Glade, and one is known to exist in the Pine Forest in southern Skyrim. Performing the Ritual of the Ancestor Moth within the glade could provide further answers to the prophecy and the location of Auriel's Bow.

When questioned about which order the scrolls should be read, he mentions that in his vision he saw the Elder Scroll which foreshadows the defiance of the gods with the blood of mortals is the key to the prophecy. He then gives the Elder Scroll (Sun) to the Dragonborn and the quest completes.

The Dragonborn must now take all three Elder Scrolls to the Ancestor Glade to unearth an ancient method of reading them.

When reading the first scroll in front of the Dawnguard, he wasn't able to fully prepare himself and he's become blind. It's now up to me to bring all three Elder Scrolls to the Ancestor Glade where I can supposedly unearth an ancient method of reading them myself.
