Trivia[]
- This effect costs forty percent more magicka to cast in comparison to the other types of elemental damage.
Weakness[]
Weakness to Magicka does not affect Shock Damage. Instead, Weakness to Shock must be used to increase one's susceptibility to this effect. It can also be used to counteract immunity or resistance to Shock. Altmer have an innate 25% weakness to Shock Damage, making this effect particularly useful when facing them in combat.
Resistance[]
Shock Damage is not affected by Resist Magicka, but can be resisted by both the Resist Shock and the Lightning Shield effects (the latter also inflicts ten percent of the effect's magnitude). There are substantially fewer people that have a resistance to Shock in comparison to the other types of elemental damage, however Nords have an innate twenty-five percent resistance.
