Sir Byric of the Flame was a noble knight that served the Duke of Alcaire Castle in 2E 542 and was an honored member of the Knights of the Flame, the regional militia owned by the Duke. In 2E 542, Sir Byric defended the city of Alcaire from the Reachmen of the Reach by burning the fields surrounding the castle, resulting in the end of the army. The Alcaire Knights were renamed to to the Knights of the Flame for Byric's risky move. A statue was erected in his honor in Alcaire.[1][2]
