The Snow Bear is a subspecies of bear that can be found in the northern regions of Skyrim.

Location

Snow Bears are most commonly found in tundra environments, such as The Pale or Winterhold. Snow Bears are larger and stronger than Cave Bears.

Tactics

Fire is the weakness of the snow bear, similar to other cold-climate creatures. Thus fire spells, fire enchanted weapons, Flame Atronachs, and fire-enchanted staves do more damage to snow bears than they would to creatures without a weakness to fire.

Quests

• Temba Wide-Arm, in Ivarstead, asks the Dragonborn to kill ten bears of any kind anywhere throughout Skyrim, which includes Snow Bears.

Trivia

• Unlike regular bears and cave bears which are brown and black respectively, snow bears are white.
