The Snow Fox is a species of Fox that can be found in the colder areas and higher elevations of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Behavior

A Snow Fox is a relatively docile animal, preferring to hunt smaller game, and will usually flee should a humanoid or anything larger than itself approach. They are prey to larger beasts of the frozen north such as the Snow Bears, Ice Wolves, and Snowy Sabre Cats. They will not attack the Dragonborn unless possessed by a Spriggan or affected by frenzy.

Trivia

• With The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire, a snow fox may be brought home by an adopted child as a pet. Its name, (only revealed if it dies), is Vix.
