He can be found, alongside Asta, inside Eldergleam Sanctuary. If the Dragonborn uses Nettlebane to retrieve sap from the Eldergleam Tree, he will likely be killed by the spriggans.
If the Dragonborn approaches with Nettlebane equipped, he will tell him or her to keep away, hoping that Kynareth will not mistake him for being associated with the Dragonborn.
