Walkthrough[]

Upon finishing Snow and Flame, Queen Nurnhilde will tell the Vestige that Fildgor Orcthane has entered Sovngarde and is siphoning her soul. She will ask you to go after him by proceeding on through Skuldafn and reaching the peak, where you must step into the column of light. The Watcher at the Bridge guards the entrance to Sovngarde, but Nurnhilde says she will tell him to let you through.

Proceed through Skuldafn to the Peak. Along the way, you will face hordes of Fildgor's troops. Make sure to pick up the copy of On Stepping Lightly that is hidden in one of their tents, to the right of the staircase that will lead to the column of light. Once you've collected it, head up the stairs and into the column of light to reach Sovngarde.

In Sovngarde, you will find yourself in a giant room, with Fildgor on the other side. He will attack on sight and he has an attack that will temporarily stun you, so take care; he is not an easy opponent. After roughing him up a bit, speak to him and he will surrender. You have the choice to kill him here and now, or hand him over to king Jorunn.

After you make your choice, the ghost of Nurnhilde will appear again. If you chose to spare Fildgor, she will tell you that you should have just killed him. Either way, she says that she hopes she will see her brother Jorunn in Sovngarde in due time.

Head back to Tamriel. Jorunn will be standing outside the portal. Speak with him, and he will tell you that the fires worked, and that he will now execute Fildgor for treason. You can persuade him not to kill his brother, or you can let him carry on with it.

Depending on your choice, Jorunn will now execute his brother. Either way, the pact leaders will now hold their moot at Skuldafn, where they pledge their continued allegiance to the Pact, and recognise Jorunn Skald-King as the leader of all three nations. Jorunn will then tell you to go tell his son about what transpired here.

Head back to Jorunn's Stand and talk to Prince Irnskar. he names you the King's Arrow and congratulates you on the victory.

Reward[]
