Swords refers to one-handed weapons with bladed edges and hilts in The Elder Scrolls Online.
Mechanics[]
Like all one-handed weapons, swords have a faster attack speed than a two handed weapon, but lower damage, and no difference with other one-handed weapons with the exception of appearance. With the Twin Blade and Blunt skill, swords deal additional damage.
Improvement and damage[]
Most swords can be enchanted using the Enchanting Stations found in most cities and occasionally in the wilderness.
