Adding[]

Can someone add the Dragonborn to the list of known listeners? —This unsigned comment is by 398.249.167.165 (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!.

The Dragonborn is already listed as a "Possible Listener". Since the Dragonborn's role in the Dark Brotherhood depends on player action, it cannot be taken as fact, which is why they weren't listed as as a "Known Listener". The only known Listeners are already added there, because regardless of the player's choices, these people are Listeners. Sorry, but this request is denied. --— Deyvid Petteys (bother \ stalk) 02:16, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

Deletion[]

I placed a delete tag on this article as I don't feel that there is enough information to devote an article to the Dark Brotherhood rank of Listener. It would probably be acceptable to simply integrate this information into the main Dark Brotherhood article. Any thoughts? If not I will redirect this information and article if necessary in a week or two. \*\ Hellhound43 14:00, 3 February 2007 (CST)

I have no problem with merge and deletion. --theSpectator talk 00:28, 4 February 2007 (CST)
Does it even have to be merged? I thought it was part of the DB questline walkthrough anyway. -}- SOTS 19:12, 9 February 2007 (GMT)
Action to delete was not taken. --— Deyvid Petteys (bother \ stalk) 02:16, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

Choosing the Listener[]

I'm a bit unclear on what it takes to be the listener. When you're in the coffin, she says something about "poor Cicero" not being the listener. The way she says it makes it seem like she doesn't pick who it is. Is it all her choice or do you have to be born with a certain something to take the role?Grassrunnerdaughter (talk) 04:10, December 9, 2012 (UTC)

The Listener is a choice made entirely by the Night Mother. She likely simply feels sorry for Cicero because she knows how much he wanted to be the Listener. Zelron Harbinger of the end times 04:28, December 9, 2012 (UTC)
