Her name[]
Should it be noted that 'Seren' is the Welsh word for 'Star'? BethesdaFTW (talk) 18:27, February 7, 2012 (UTC)
What Happened?[]
Okay so here's a good question. After completing Waking Nightmare and siding with Erandur, I left to go back to Dawnstar and found Seren dead behind the Inn. A guard ran up to me and ask if I knew what happened, and to report anything to the high guard. I went over to the Jarl's Longhouse and talked with the guard (Who didn't seem to know anything about Seren and her weird death). So then I think that someone in Dark Brotherhood went outside and killed her, but no one there didn't know a thing. After running around and talking with villages, I still got nothing. So then I checked Seren and take the key to her house off (As well as a feel items, but there was no note or anything about what she was doing there and wo killed her). I then travel over to her house and use the key to go inside. Expecting to be yelled at her husband the moment I enter (do to it being locked), I was shocked to see he wasn't there and once again no clues! So does anyone know if this is a quest thing or is this some random thing that happened to my game?
Bug? So I don't remember how exaclty Seren died when I was playing, I think it was from a dragon attack, so you can't complete the quest for her husband by getting some book for her. Plus if you are trying to become thane of the pale, you can't help her husband for credit. Also when I talked to a guard he asked me if I knew anything. Two responses come up first, and I picked "I'm not answering any questions which after a little bit more dialogue ends up sending you to jail. So right now the game seems frozen on a black screen because of it, so I'm not sure what the ending result will end up being. So until then, answer "I don't know anything."
In my most recent instance Seren was a pile of dust right outside of the alchemist shop with a bunch of arrows in the vicinity. I hadn't been to Dawnstar before. Baffling. I'm pretty sure I won't have access to the smith there now.
