I've been messing around with the console commands to test out certain things; I gave my character 100 smithing, all the perks, and I still can't see options for 'special weapons' at the Skyforge. Perhaps there is a quest you need to do? 01:30, November 18, 2011 (UTC)

Woops. Sorry I had to make a correction. You cant exactly create Skyforge weapons (As far as I know) but you can buy them and get them from the companions.

I can confirm on 360 that you can reforge Ancient Nordic weapons that the Draugr carry, into Nordic Hero weapons. You can also make Ancient Nord Armor, but it only shows up in the Daedric Armor catagory. I have 100 Smithing skill, so that may help. Having the Dadric smithing perk seems to be part of it. Daedric smithing perk has nothing to do with it. Both sets of equipment were available to me with around level 40 smithing. 14:09, November 18, 2011 (UTC)

Just wondering about a rumour i heard,

apparantly the skyrim economy works similar to real life and if you gather a lot of skyforge steel items and then kill the blacksmith, the items no longer spawn in his "shop" and go up in value, i was wondering if this had been tried out or anyone can put me right, cheers

Damage Figures[edit source]

On PC the damage figures for Skyforge and Nord Hero are the same. With that, Nord Hero melee weapons seem to be the equivalent of their Skyforge counterparts but can be crafted, are lighter and look different. Perhaps to give the player the ability to craft special weapons where one would normally have to buy them. --Radnus 21:37, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

Heroic Nordic Weapons[edit source]

The Heroic Nordic Weapons are able to be forged after you have completed the companion storyline. After (instert spoiler here) is ceremonialy burned on the skyforge and you complete the quest that comes with that, the blacksmith tells you that the previously mentioned person had such a strong soul that the skyforge is creating stronger weapons than usual (which is really just up to par with skyforge steel weapons from what i've seen) and that's how it's done. 03:42, April 25, 2012 (UTC)Emmerson

you do realize there is a spoiler template you can add so that "instert spoiler here (which looks bad on pages) is not used
