Azura's Star VS The Black Star[]
So, the black star can be filled with not only black soul but also white soul, right ? Then, it make it more valuable than its counterpart Azura's Star, no ? So where is the point to get the Azura's Star in place of the Black Star as reward then ?... Kain Do Urden (talk) 15:46, December 24, 2011 (UTC)
- The Black Star is supposed to only be able to hold black souls, which would make this a more reasonable choice. Due to the apparent bug that allows it to hold both types of souls, it's pretty much directly superior to Azura's Star, unless you really care about getting Aranea Ienith as a follower. - I just came here to look and see if there was some reason why my Black Star wasn't working, as it wasn't capturing the souls of Draugr Deathlords. I figured there might be some sort of bug that stopped it working or capturing white souls. Yet apparently it was supposed to be that way? I'm guessing this is the Unofficial Patch mod's doing. Damn. Oblivion Walker achievement[]

According to people on Gamefaqs, they say the black star counts toward the Acheivement. I have yet to try for myself though DaWnBrEaKeR (talk) 21:44, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
is it possible for me to convert azuras star to the black star, if not then azuras star is horrible.
