I didn't want to blunder in and delete a section from a page that I've never edited before, but it does seem rather speculative to say that Umbacano is the same Umbacano as found in Morrowind just because of the name and him being an Altmer. Bethesda do recycle names from old minor characters sometimes, for instance there was an Altmer character called Elenwen in Morrowind and there is no frivolous speculation that she later became the Thalmor Ambassador to Skyrim. Is he actually racist ? Considering he doesn't change his attitude depending on the Player's race, and he's not heard being nasty to others, is there something to this "lesser races" claim ? [[User:Rautamiekka|Rautamiekka]] ([[User talk:Rautamiekka|talk]]) 12:22, June 10, 2020 (UTC)

How did he get that name?

Why is he named as lord umbacano here? His real name is just umbacano? —This unsigned comment is by Volanaro (talkcontribs) 15:41, 28 February 2008. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Well, I suppose the article probably contains the "Lord" in the article since he is a lord, I think. You could ask the same about Lady Syl, why it is not just "Syl" instead of having the "Lady" in there as well. --Bippo Ernesti 15:59, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
But last i knew he wasn't a lord. Volanaro 16:07, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Hmm... I suppose he isn't a lord then, I guess somebody made the article with the "Lord" included there, then everybody just went with it. I think I'll just move it to Umbacano then. --Bippo Ernesti 16:15, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Umbacano's True Intentions?

There is a Question that has been irriatatating me of late, That Question may or may not be frequentley asked but "Is Umbacano truly Evil?" I ask Because i don't think he Realises what The Aylieds truly were.(Murderous Psycopaths) —This unsigned comment is by 90.209.175.183 (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

No, Umbacano wasn't evil, he was just very very obsessed with trying to find his precious artifacts. And as for "murderous psychopaths"? I don't think that's quite right. They were a very brutal race on any outsiders, yes, but they were good to their own people. They fought with other elf clans all the time, but they did treat their subjects fairly well. The weapons and armor they had crafted for their guard are exquisite, and the palaces in which they live would have been grandiose to see in their day (before they became ruins). Brutal? Yes. Psychopaths? I don't think so. Mbjones90 (talk) 06:00, January 28, 2010 (UTC)

What is his race??

if you get him the REAL crown of the last ayleid king, then he sits in his little throne and says something along the lines of, "come back to life, my ayleid brothers!"... is it possible he is an ayleid?

Speculation in the Trivia section

I didn't want to blunder in and delete a section from a page that I've never edited before, but it does seem rather speculative to say that Umbacano is the same Umbacano as found in Morrowind just because of the name and him being an Altmer. Bethesda do recycle names from old minor characters sometimes, for instance there was an Altmer character called Elenwen in Morrowind and there is no frivolous speculation that she later became the Thalmor Ambassador to Skyrim.
