{{{1}}} [sic] [Do not change this to {{{2}}}. This misspelled word is how it appears in-game.]

Template documentation (for the above template, sometimes hidden or invisible)

This template is used for typos which are made in-game. The template contains the original word, the correct word, and a notice that the article should keep the original word.

Usage

{{Sic|original word|correct word}}

Examples

{{Sic|Blood Feat Shield|Blood Feast Shield}}

results in: Blood Feat Shield [sic] [Do not change this to Blood Feast Shield. This misspelled word is how it appears in-game.]

Warning

''{{Sic|original word|correct word}}''
will break the template.
The correct usage is:
{{Sic|original word|correct word}}

Normally, this means that in a situation where the surrounding text is italicized, the template needs to be immediately surrounded by italics to remove any relevant italicization. However, {{Sicquote}} (see below) is preferable to adding the extra italics manually.

Alternate forms

There are several versions of {{Sic}} that should be used in slightly different situations. The original template has the description [Do not change this to {{{2}}}. This misspelled word is how it appears in-game.] and should be used in most cases. However, when necessary, use one of these. They are as follows:

Sicblock

Description: [Do not change this to
{{{2}}}
. This misspelled word is how it appears in-game.]

If a typo is found in a quote formatted within the blockquote <div class="blockquote">, the standard {{Sic}} template presents the typo in the popup in a color which is difficult to read. This template changes said color and makes it readable. Since this template is used in a blockquote, italics must be manually placed around the template to prevent it from breaking. The misspelled text is also italicized so that it does not look too different from any surrounding terms. For example:

{{Sicblock|now|know}}

Will produce:

now [sic] [Do not change this to
know
. This misspelled word is how it appears in-game.]

Sicmis

Description: [Do not change this to {{{2}}}. This missing word is how it officially appears.]

This is used to denote a missing word in both in-game and out-of-game contexts. For example:

{{Sicmis|good|as good}}

Will produce:

good [sic] [Do not change this to as good. This missing word is how it officially appears.]

Sicoog

Description: [Do not change this to {{{2}}}. This misspelled word is how it officially appears.]

This is a catch-all version of {{Sic}} for out-of-game/unlicensed materials. For example:

{{Sicoog|moveable|movable}}

Will produce:

moveable [sic] [Do not change this to movable. This misspelled word is how it officially appears.]

Sicpun

Description: [Do not change this to {{{2}}} as this missing punctuation is how it appears in-game.]

This template is used specifically for missing punctuation. For example:

{{Sicpun|guaranteed|guaranteed.}}

Will producec:

guaranteed [sic] [Do not change this to guaranteed. as this missing punctuation is how it appears in-game.]

Sicquote

Description: [Do not change this to {{{2}}}. This misspelled word is how it appears in-game.]

As explained above, this template is used to escape italicization that would otherwise break its formatting. It should be used in a scenario where {{Sic}} would otherwise be used. This should not be used for typos within a <div class="blockquote">; the template {{Sicblock}} is preferred in that situation. For example:

{{Sicquote|Redya|Reyda}}

Will produce:

Redya [sic] [Do not change this to Reyda. This misspelled word is how it appears in-game.]

Sicrem

Description: [Do not remove this word. This extra word is how it appears in-game.]

This template is used when there is an extra word in a sentence. Only one variable is used. For example:

{{Sicrem|to}}

Will produce:

to [sic] [Do not remove this word. This extra word is how it appears in-game.]

Sicqtable

Description: [Do not change this to
{{{2}}}
. This misspelled word is how it appears in-game.]

This template is used in "qtable" class tables where the formatting changes the text color. For example:

{{Sicqtable|Fjolti's|Fjotli's}}

Will produce:

Fjolti's [sic] [Do not change this to
Fjotli's
. This misspelled word is how it appears in-game.]
