For other uses, see Test Cells.

Test Cells are locations in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that are hidden within the game files, unable to be accessed normally by the player. They largely consist of unfinished rooms, copies of existing interiors, or rooms simply built for testing purposes during game development and not intended to be part of the final game.

All test cells are accessible to the player only through the use of the console command coc (cell ID), which will teleport the player to the center of the cell. Entering test cells should always be done with caution however, as interacting with objects or characters found within test cells can crash the game or cause other glitches. Modders should also be careful not to delete or tamper with test cells when editing game files, as some are vital to the mechanics of game quests and other features.
