"Look, it's dangerous, but if you sneak the ring into her house. Put it in a dresser or something. I will make it worth your while."
Revyn Sadri[src]

That Was Always There is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in which the Dragonborn must assist Revyn Sadri by planting Viola Giordano's gold ring in her house which he accidentally procured.

Objectives[]

  1. Plant Viola's Gold Ring in Viola Giordano's House
  2. Tell Revyn Viola's Gold Ring has been planted

Walkthrough[]

Revyn Sadri at Sadri's Used Wares asks the Dragonborn to return a gold ring to Viola Giordano, as he believes it is stolen. The Dragonborn can either break into Viola's house and return the ring, or tell her about it being stolen and return it to her directly.

Return Viola's ring[]

In order to return the ring, the Dragonborn must go to her house in the Stone Quarter, across the street for the House of Clan Shatter-Shield. Once there, they must pick the master-level lock to gain entry. Once inside, they must go to the dresser immediately to the right of the front door and plant the ring there. Then, they should return to Revyn for a reward of a leveled sum of Gold. He will also offer Speech training up to level 50, and also become a marriage option to the Dragonborn.

Tell Viola[]

The Dragonborn will also have the option to tell Viola about the stolen ring. She will reward them with leveled Gold, and become a marriage option instead of Revyn. He will be upset with the Dragonborn and will treat them unkindly as a result.
