"Make no mistake: Being willing to sell your own people makes the Cartel extremely dangerous, as many of their competitors discovered over the years."
Tamonir[src]

The Thazahrr Cartel was a prominent Khajiiti cartel during the Alliance War in the Second Era that had a firm grip on the city of Abah's Landing along with the at-Addin Syndicate, House Vien, and Gurges & Associates. The cartel controls the flow of money in Abah's Landing through legal or illegal practices. Usually through smuggling, slavery, and unlawful transactions.[1]

History[]

Foundation[]

Like the other Merchant Lords of Abah's Landing, the Thazahrr Cartel became a sufficient figure around 2E 422. The Cartel was unique for multiple reasons, one for their peculiar great founder, and their ironic way of trading. The group was founded by a female Khajiit named Thazahrr-ra who took the male honorific "ra". The Cartel made its money through the slave trade which is ironic since their founder is a Khajiit. The Cartel had members ranging from Imperials, Bretons, Redguards, and other Khajiits. The Cartel did not just benefit from the slave trade, but like other shady groups, they excelled at smuggling and processing information.[2]

During the Resurrection of the Thieves Guild[]

In 2E 583, the Thieves Guild situated in Abah's Landing began to grow in prominence after a few occurrences at Hubalajad Palace. At this time, the Merchant Lord of the Cartel was Thazahrr Goldfang who was the sixth woman to take the name of the founder. Goldfang was a very stubborn and unhappy woman who felt that the current conditions of the Merchant Houses at the time was piss poor at best. Business hit that houses hard but it affected the Cartel the hardest. Goldfang desired to bring the cartel back from the grave and into the light.[2]
