The Adversary in Skaal belief, is an equal yet opposite force to the All-Maker who enjoys tormenting both the All-Maker and his followers. The Adversary has many aspects and is believed to often appear as an unholy beast or an incurable plague. Skaal belief holds that the Adversary's final aspect will be that of Thartaag the World-Devourer.[1]
The Adversary is a very similar concept to that of Sithis, who, like the All-Maker,[source?] is often associated with misanthropy.[UL 1] It should also be noted that the most known of the Adversary's incarnates is the "Greedy Man,"[1] who in the Seven Fights of the Aldudagga is implied to be Lorkhan,[UL 2] a god who is often believed to be the birthed soul of Sithis.[2] The relation between the Adversary and Sithis are also strengthened by the All-Maker's own relation to Anui-El, who is the equal/opposite force to Sithis.[3]
