Count Verandis informs the Vestige that he knows where Reezal-Jul is. He says Captain Janeve has established a camp for displaced refugees and he wants the Vestige to let Captain Janeve know about Reezal-Jul as he suspects Reezal-Jul had let the refugees survive to serve as a trap.
The Vestige journeys to Camp Tamrith. Once there, they warn Captain Janeve that Reezal-Jul is going to attack the camp. Captain Janeve believes she and her group will be ready to defend from "the mad lizard" and asks the Vestige to locate Jonah Marose, who had fled the camp with his mother shortly after claiming he could sense Reezal-Jul. The Vestige must travel to Southgard Tower, where several Montclair Immortals and Knights will attack. Jonah Marose is standing by the tower's entrance, shouting, "Go away! Leave us alone! I don't want to become a bloodfiend!" While Jonah runs into the tower for safety, the Vestige will be instructed to defend the tower from Montclair Immortals and Knights.
Once the threat has been dealt with, the Vestige should climb to the top of Southgard Tower to speak to Jonah Marose. Jonah will mention that Reezal-Jul is approaching with several bloodfiends and refuses to return to the camp believing that the tower is safe enough for him and his mother. The Vestige must return to the camp alone to pass on Jonah's warning. By the time the Vestige returns to Camp Tamrith, an attack has occurred. Florenot Eniel will inform the Vestige that vampires came out of nowhere, half the refugees are dead and Captain Janeve is missing. Healer Odylie is doing what she can to help. The Vestige is instructed to speak to Countess Eselde Tamrith.
Upon speaking to Countess Tamrith, the Vestige will learn both Captain Janeve and Darien Gautier are absent. Countess Tamrith suggests the Vestige to ask some of the guards for answers as to their whereabouts, as well as pass on some poultice from her. Remic is the only guard who saw Captain Janeve and believes she charged west toward the river, intent on pursuing Reezal-Jul out of contempt toward necromancers. At said location, the Vestige discovers Darien Gautier on the ground and injured among a couple of bodies. Darien is less concerned about himself and more worried about the Captain. He explains that he had followed Captain Janeve during her pursuit of Reezal-Jul and that a group of vampires surrounded them, and while Darien fought the vampires off, Captain Janeve was dragged off into a nearby cave. Darien tells the Vestige to hurry in after her.
The Vestige must enter Shadowfate Cavern. Deep inside, the Vestige will discover Jonah Marose who claims that the "Bad One" is going to do terrible things to the Captain. Since the cave is full of vampires, Jonah advises the Vestige to use a secret tunnel. Deeper into the cavern, the Vestige must kill several Montclair vampires, including Reezal-Jul. Afterwards, they must search for the Captain who will be standing next to Countess Tamrith. Countess Tamrith explains that the Captain is turning into a vampire and, out of mercy, believes her sister must be killed and avoid turning into a monster.
The Vestige is asked to speak to Captain Janeve to offer comfort while the Countess prays over her decision. In contrast to the Countess' suggestion, Captain Janeve wishes to continue living and claims she can control herself, as she knows other vampires have done. It is up to the Vestige to decide what to do about Captain Janeve. If the Vestige chooses to agree with Captain Janeve and spare her, they may leave the cavern and return to where Darien is waiting. The Vestige may also speak to Countess Tamrith, who prays the Vestige's mercy does not turn out to be a terrible mistake.

I need to find Camp Tamrith and talk to Captain Janeve. She needs to know that the villainous Reezal-Jul is nearby and that the refugees are in danger.

Captain Janeve asked me to locate one of the refugees, Jonah Marose. He claimed he could sense Reezal-Jul before he ran off. I need to find him and his mother and bring them back to the camp.

I found Jonah Marose in a ruined tower, but we were immediately attacked by vampires. I need to defend the tower before I can talk to Jonah.

Now that the tower is safe, I should go inside and speak to Jonah Marose. I need to convince him to return to Camp Tamrith. I think he ran to the top of the tower.

Jonah is obviously nervous and afraid, and his mother doesn't appear to be at all well. He's convinced that he has some kind of connection to Reezal-Jul, and he refuses to endager Camp Tamrith. I should return and tell Captain Janeve about this.

I returned to Camp Tamrith to find the place in disarry. It appears the camp was attacked. I don't see Captain Janeve or Darien, but I see Countess Tamrith tending to the wounded. I should talk to her.

From talking to the House Tamrith guards, it sounds like Captain Janeve headed west, toward the river. She may have been chasing Reezal-Jul. I should try to catch up to her.

While looking for Captain Janeve, I came across Darien Gautier. He appears to be injured. I should talk to him and find out what happened.

Darien said that Captain Janeve was dragged into a nearby cave by Reezal-Jul and his vampires. I need to find the entrance to that cave.

I need to enter the cave and find Reezal-Jul's lair. If I hurry maybe I can save Captain Janeve.

I entered Shadowfate Cavern. Now I need to confront the evil Argonian, Reezal-Jul, and destroy him before anyone else in Rivenspire is forced to suffer his blood-curse.

I agreed with Captain Janeve. Just like Verandis and Gwendis, she deserves a chance to overcome and control the monser inside her. She deserves to live. Now I should head outside and find Darien and the others.
