The Coldest Sleep is a quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The next target is a Nord named Havilstein Hoar-Blood who is always 5 levels above the Hero.
Walktrough[]
Head up to the Gnoll Mountain outside of Bruma in the Jerall Mountains and find the small camp by following the marker. The way to where Havilstein can be rather difficult if the Hero doesn't have a horse to reach the camp, as the path leading to the top of the hill is obscured.
If the Wizard's Tower add-on is installed, the player can fast travel to that location and one will find him just down the path from the front steps.
Havilstein is camping outside with his wolf and will strike once they see the Hero. Beware of his magical battle axe when he attacks. Assassins who have difficulty in head-to-head combat can run down the mountain and watch him clumsily fall to his own death while trying to swing at them.
Alternatively, the Hero can also have him chase the Hero back to the gates of Bruma where he will be confronted by the Bruma guard and get killed by them.
When Havilstein is dead, head over to Nornal to pick up the reward and the next order. The chest is behind the locked gate, submerged under water.

I have picked up my next contract from the dead drop in the hollowed-out tree stump. I have been ordered to go to the campsite on Gnoll Mountain and kill Havilstein Hoar-Blood, a savage Nord Barbarian skilled in the use of the axe. |
Havilstein Hoar-Blood is dead. I must now pick up my reward and next contract at the dead drop located in an old chest that is sunk into the pool at the Ayleid ruin of Nornal.

Trivia[]
- The dead drop location is very tricky. Using a water breathing spell or if one has the Jewel of the Rumare in possession, will make it easier to stay under water.
- If Nornal has been explored already the Hero might have looted a key from one of the Marauders in the Ayleid ruin to open the gate with.
