The language here suggests an attitude of offer help first, and then (but always) consider the quality and appropriateness of it. (which is great!) However, I sometimes get the opposite impression when I post things, and I know that others do, too. That is, it often seems that the "higher-ups" on these wikis are more interested in their (somewhat anal) desire to keep the quality (read: order, order, order) high -- to the point of scaring people away from contributing!
If in fact the attitude is the latter, more open and welcoming one, as certainly befits a wiki, then make sure that message comes off clear. I'm glad to see it here, but bear in mind that the big effect is in how you treat contributors. I love a well-kept and thoughtfully constructed wiki, too, but my advice is mind the wisdom of choosing your battles carefully and always offer advice constructively and with justification. Thanks. =) --DarrenTorpey 08:21, 7 April 2006 (CDT)
