"Caught a case of Rockjoint, once. Bothela at The Hag's Cure fixed me right up."
―Markarth Guard

The Hag's Cure is an alchemical store, located in Markarth. It is owned and operated by Bothela, along with her assistant, Muiri.

The proprietor, Bothela, provides the Dragonborn with a quest to deliver a tonic, called the "Stallion's Potion," to the steward of Markarth; once completed, she will recognize the Dragonborn as a "friend," allowing them to take certain items from the shop without it being classified as stealing.

Bothela's assistant, Muiri, features as a client in the early stages of the Dark Brotherhood quest line, specifically during the quest "Mourning Never Comes."

Location[]

Located in the southern part of Markarth, near the Markarth Ruins and Cidhna Mine, the shop can easily be missed if one is not paying attention.

  •  PS3   If the Dragonborn marries Muiri and chooses to live with her at the Hag's Cure, they may be unable to sleep or wait due to the fact that the Dragonborn is apparently being asked to leave by Bothela, even if she is on good terms with the Dragonborn.
