Changes: The Lady's Ring

The Lady's Ring is a miscellaneous quest avaible in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Synette Jeline has dropped her ring into a pond and needs help retrieving it.

Talk to Synette Jeline
Agree or refuse to help her.
Retrieve the ring from the pond.
Kill the attackers.

Detailed walkthrough

Talk to Synette Jeline

Synette Jeline can be found close to Ald Velothi, on a road between there and Gnisis. When the Nerevarine talks to her, she will claim that she is a dancer and ask them to help her to retrieve her ring, which has sunk in the pond nearby.

Agree or refuse to help her

The Nerevarine has an option to refuse to help Synette, thus finishing this quest instantly, receiving no rewards. If agreed, they will need to search the pond nearby for Synette's ring.

Retrieve ring from the pond

Search the pond for sunken Expensive Ring in muddy pond waters.

Kill the attackers

As soon as Nerevarine picks up the ring, they will be attacked by Synette and her partner, Tavynu Tedran, who was hiding behind the trees using an amulet with a Chameleon enchantment. The Nerevarine should kill them both in order to finish this quest.

Reward

Amulet of Shadows - a very useful amulet with Chameleon enchantment.
Incomplete set of Chitin Armor (Morrowind), missing the pauldrons.
Up to 250

Trivia

An observant player can notice Tavynu Tedran hiding behind the tree before taking the quest. After they agree to help Synette, Tavynu will relocate closer to pond for better ambushing.
Right before attacking the player, Synette will say "No good deed goes unpunished, Outlander".
