The quest can be acquired once the Nerevarine has located Din on the road to the north of Gnisis; he will be wearing some Imperial Armor. It will be apparent that he is unwell and conversing will be difficult. To get the quest the Nerevarine should choose the dialogue options catch some slaughterfish followed by muddled to receive the option to cure him.
- Speak with Din.
- Attempt to heal him or take him to Gnisis Temple
- Let him be cured or abandon him on the road.
To cure Din, the player will need some form of Cure Common Disease. Alternatively, he will follow you to the healer at Gnisis Temple and receive healing there. Completion through either method will result in the same reward: the player will receive 30 gold and a +5 to reputation with the Imperial Legion. The player can also choose to abandon him to his own fate. Din's death will complete the quest but no reward will be given.

|70||Din met his end on the road to Gnisis. Although he seemed mad, I fear it was a disease that caused this, and it probably could have been cured.
