The Shackled Guardian is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online.

- Talk to Narir.
- Collect lost notes and save the captive delvers.
- Find and talk to Kireth Vanos.

Walkthrough[]
After finishing To Taarengrav, talk to wither Raynor Vanos or Narir. They will tell you that the Worm Cult has attacked this site. If you spoke to Raynor, he will then tell you to speak to Narir. Narir will tell you that the cult attacked because the delvers had found some kind of puzzle and made notes on the subject. He asks you to go save his men still trapped by the cult and retrieve those research notes.
The worm cult has set up camp around the mound. kill them to free the captive delvers and retrieve the research notes from their bodies. Make sure to collect the skyshard found in the south of the search area. The last delver you free will tell you that they have got Kireth Vanos in the tent behind the dragon mound. Head there and speak to her. She will tell you that the notes you collected are the key to reaching the spirit of Valdur. She then asks you go aid her assistant Daneras, who is still in the tomb.
Delver: "They've got Kireth too! She's in the tent behind the Dragon mound."
Head inside. You will immediately be greeted by the spirit of Valdur, who asks you to stop the worm cultists who are tearing at his very essence. After speaking with him, head further into the barrow. As you make your way, Valdur's spirit will appear a few times and warn you that time is running out. Once you reach the square room in the west, you will find Daneras along with the spirit. Speak with Daneras and he will tell you that there is some sort of puzzle to the doors in this room. The notes you found on the cultists will be of use here. If you have trouble interpreting the notes, you can intimidate Valdur's spirit for a hint. Either way, you should first head through the door marked by the whale, then the eagle, then the snake.
Head on and kill the cultists binding Valdur. After you have done so, he will lead you to the exit. Speak with him in the hallway leading to the exit to finish the quest and start the next one, To Honrich Tower.
