The Wyrd Tree's Roots is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online. The Beldama Wyrd want to use the roots of the Wyrd Tree to help the villagers get away, as they have the power to travel along them. But the same corruption that caused this trouble has sapped the roots of their power, and they need your help.

Walkthrough
When talking to Jehanne she will ask for more help to open a path to safety. They can travel along the roots of the Wyrd Tree, which was how they were able to come to the village so quickly. But now there is some kind of corruption in the soil and the path is blocked. The roots need to be nourished with pure energy.
By killing the creatures near the roots, their life force can be used to nourish the roots of the Wyrd Tree. They need to be killed near the roots so their life essence will provide the power needed. If killed too far from the roots the life force will be wasted. Follow the markers and kill one of the creatures near each root. This should provide the power needed to help the villagers escape. The roots are scattered around the mill.
- There is a root west of the mill, on a hill. There is a spriggan nearby. Kill it to nourish the root.
- Not far from that root is another root. Kill the spriggan nearby to nourish the root.
- East of the mill is the third root. Kill the spriggan guarding it to nourish the root.
After nourishing all three roots, return to Jehanne and see if she and her sisters have been able to secure the path to save the villagers and if it is safe to dispel the ward. The portal is now open and all villagers made it through and are safe at their camp. Jehanne explains she will go back to their camp to protect the villagers, and that her Sisters will continue to look into the madness that occurred. The Vestige can be of help to the Beldama Wyrd staying at the village to investigate, if they choose.
She ends the conversation with: "You have earned my respect, stone-dweller. Thank you." She rewards the Vestige with the Bloodthorn Wyress Mantle when completing the quest and small amount of

I need to kill the monsters near the roots of the Wyrd Tree. That will nourish the roots with their life force and replenish the magic. If I kill a creature too far from a root, it's life force will be wasted.
