  • Not a question but, well, If you have the sparks spell or a cheap spell that drains magicka, literally just use it on him for as long as you can. I just used sparks with barely any magicka and he couldnt summon ANYTHING. So i used my Skyforge Steel Greatsword (35 damage for me lmao) to just wipe him.

    • Right but that will literally take forever to drain his magic, and once you stop using sparks on him he'll immediately start using magic again.

I dont think the real challenge with him is his magic overall, just his summons. A little bit of magic drain on him (doesnt matter how, i just used sparks myself) and you can focus on killing him.

    • Greetings my fellow Dovah,

I managed to half damage him from before even setting foot inside the temple and then outside on the top level..

The "how" was quite simple in itself..

Took plenty of Soul Gems with me and used Sanguine's Rose by spawning my Dremora Kynval on the tower walkway that goes down to the chest not far after the door outside to the top of the temple (the last chest to loot before continuing to Nakriin).

The 3 Draugr up there were killed from a mix of spawning both the Dremora Kynval & my Flame Atronach (constantly swapping from 1 to the other as soon as they died).

By the time i got up there and out of the final door (playing on my xbox 360 S this time around (Legendary Edition) with no mods whatsoever) i found that all 3 Draugr were killed and Nakriin was at 50% health before stepping inside the temple from what i found when i got up there to take him on and grab his mask.

        • Wishes his nice find in Oblivion could of helped in Skyrim (Unrefined Greenmote + Nirnroot (which i had the Cat Master add to the Trivia as a "Companion" since no such mention existed of it in the poison nor potions usage)), however since one can not travel to the Shivering Isles from Skyrim it is not possible to make nor use**

    • That does help, having some factors. If you have Call Storms, you may be able to defeat him without even noticing.

    • Do the dragon born questline and use bend will on ohdaviin before he goes back to wherever he spend a his time before you capture him then just powerhouse through the 4 dragons many draugr and nahkriin that's what I usually do anyway

Indeed Megathespaceman.. having some if not a heap of nice factors to use at your disposal , does come in quite handy. I always grab Sanguine's Rose so i can send Dremora's ahead of me and spawn them in far off places out of reach to me at the present time until my paths lead me there to the spawn point(s) to clear the path ahead of me. Comes quite handy ;)

I've gone to Solstiem this time through but only to visit so i can fast travel later on.

Only visited Fort Dawnguard just to grab a crossbow as well and to have it unlocked for fast travel for later on as well.

Haven't bothered with the Civil War Quest-line either this time through.

Main Quest-line though is done & dusted once again.

Have 2 words of the storm call shout but haven't bothered to spend the 2x dragon souls to unlock both as it is indeed a quite nasty shout and only useful in enemy populated areas (unless wanting to get a high bounty of course on purpose).

Being OP is good but dismal & boring and takes the fun out of role playing or having fun.

I use Iron Arrows and an Elven Bow (bow is modified of course (flawless)) so my poisons have time to work before i kill the target . Used the same tactic on Oblivion (high level bow, low type arrows) and used every alchemical blend i could make (hence my discovery and addition to the Trivia section on the Wiki for the Oblivion Nirnroot & Unrefined Greenmote mix.. i still reckon the glitched "Picher Plant" is 1 of the companions but have never been able to confirm that still thus far after all these years lol) when it came to poisons for my arrows.
