  • Nazir is a quest giver so I understand why he survived. About Babette, I know Bethesda doesn't like to kill children but they could have done it off screen. I doubt it's a true believer thing because Festus Krex seems respectful of the Night mother, as for Veezara I wish he survived and I don't see a pboblem with him. He was ok with the statu quo. The spider can burn (and did), as for Astrid's husband he's the one you'd expect to see dead.

This questline seems copy/paste on its Oblivion counterpart, just less except Oblivion made sense to me.

    • Prob because they're both trainers. Make sense from a practical aspect, at least.

    • Wow, it seems I never hit "reply" or something.

I said that I've never realized Nazir was a trainer. I guess I'm a bit salty everyone else got killed like the DB was killed in Oblivion. It's a bit lazy to me.

    • It's honestly because the developers wanted an "Oh know! What did those bastards/Astrid do?" kinda vibe, so they decided to have the Penitus Oculatus kill everyone else to further cement Astrid's betrayal.

You're robably right (then they should have killed Babette, just saying). Hope the DB will have a questline that won't result in a mass killing in our ranks in the next game. I'd like to see a "war" between the Morag Tong and the DB, but I digress.

    • If you don't help Nazir, he actually gets close to dying against the Imperial soldier that attacks him in the burning sanctuary.

Hence why I'm convinced that Babette would be the only survivor if the "Listener" chose not to aid them. Especially if Cicero was killed.

    • The only way to kill Nazir is by destroying the DB yourself. By the way if you do that Cicero just dissapear from the game so I guess you could say he's the one true survivor.

    • Nazir survives because he has (wait for it) CURVED! SWORDS!

Babette survives because she's a kid and kids are ESSENTIAL!

A little on-the-nose there, don't you think? XD

Kids are essential but if you remember Helgi we've seen "dead" kids in this game. Also you don't have to slit her throat, you could have been able to burn the sanctuary or cure her vampirism in order to get rid of her for exemple.

I have nothing to had to your comment about Nazir's invulnerability lol

Clearly the developers were being racist, AND sexist. Why else would a redguard and a girl be the SOLE survivors?

Oh, wait, I forgot Astrid was killed, so they can't possibly be sexist. Lmfao

Kids are essential! They're the future of humanity.

    • It's controversial to kill kids, given that GTA probably allowed you to do that so she was marked as invincible.

As for Nazir i can't figure why HE would be invinciible

    • Had you not shown up at this point (assuming such an option for showing up late or not at all was ever given), Nazir likely would've been killed by that Imperial agent named "Arcturus", who's seen fighting him when you get into the sanctuary.

Lmao is there even a character with such a name?

    • There is, when the Sanctuary gets destroyed by the Penitus Oculatus, toward the end of the DB questline.

So since human races are the only ones with children in that game, I guess they will survive all the Mer/Beast races. It's not the fastest way to do a genocide.

On topic, I guess the thing that annoys me with that questline is how similar the result is to Oblivion's : you start with named characters showing some identity, almost everyone has to die then you get a promotion to guildmaster and "hire" unnamed assassins. Also, traitors.

I barely remember oblivion after 8 playthroughs of skyrim thanks for the semireminder.
