  • I tend to roleplay the choice of my house :

My current character is a skilled smith with a hoarder complex, therefore she needs a big place with a big forge. She cares about her prestige but she's ready to do anything in order to obtain results, that's why she has many ennemies. She choose to built Lakeview Manor in a secluded place yet close enough to civilization in order to protect herself (especially considering the fact that she's a werewolf) and her loot.

What about you? Any of you living in a faction related home?

    • Typically I live in either Proudspire Manor or Vlindrel Hall if I settle down with a spouse and children. Sinply because I feel like these are the higher end homes and are in well protected, secure locations.

The Hearthfire Homesteads seem vulnerable, and somewhat isolated.

    • Honeyside has a compact set up and it looks cool, and it has a view from the porch

Depends on what danger you try to avoid : in a city, walls protect you from dragons, bandits and things like that. My character is trying to avoid plot dangers : politics, murderers, thieves, etc. It makes sense to her to build in an isolate place with a few select people to protect it. I just wish Heartfire had gates.

I do agree with you, it's not the best place for a family. Also your spouse has a shop but where is it? In the middle of nowhere? Makes no sense

    • Lakeview manor because random creatures spawn near the house like giants.
